The E4 Preaching Conference began in 2009 as a collaboration between First Baptist Church Pineville, Louisiana Christian University (formerly Louisiana College), the Louisiana Baptist Convention, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Fort Worth), and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. The event is designed to equip, empower, and encourage pastors to preach biblical and anointed messages. At the same time, good preaching is exemplified through the keynote speakers.

Plenary worship sessions featuring a keynote speaker coupled with breakout sessions led by pastors and seminary professors make this a helpful, jam-packed, one-day conference. Past keynote speakers have included Waylon Bailey, Jamie Dew, David Allen, Jeff Iorg, Steven Rummage, Steven Smith, Steve Gaines, Paige Patterson, Jim Shaddix, Michael Duduit, David Uth, Don Whitney, Fred Lowery, Don Wilton, and Blake Newsom.

The conference also includes sessions for ministry wives.

This Year's Break-Out Sessions:

• Preaching the Prophets - led by Ted Williams. Dr. Williams is the Associate Dean of the Church Ministries Division, Assistant Professor of Expository Preaching, Director of Mentoring Programs, JD Grey Chair of Preaching at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

• Living from Crisis to Crisis:How to Cope with the Pressures of Pastoral Ministry - led by Preston Nix. Dr. Nix is Professor of Evangelism and Evangelistic Preaching, Director of the Leavell Center for Evangelism and Church Health, Roland Q. Leavell Chair of Evangelism at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

• Tell Me the Stories of Jesus: Preaching Gospel Parables - led by Matthew McKellar. Dr. McKellar is Professor of Preaching and George W. Truett Chair of Ministry at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX.

• How to Deliver a Sermon with Clarity and Effectiveness - led by Chris Osborne. Dr. Osborne is Professor of Preaching and Pastoral Ministry and James T. Draper Chair of Pastoral Ministry at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX.

• Rest in Pastoral Ministry - led by Nick Maricle. Dr. Maricle is Assistant Professor of Missions and Ministries and Dean of Chapel at Louisiana Christian University. For the last ten years, he has also served as Pastor of Hessmer Baptist Church in Hessmer, LA.

• Pastoral Evangelism - led by Rick Henson. Dr. Henson has served as a pastor and evangelist in Louisiana and Mississippi. In every church he has served, the church has experienced record baptisms, largely due to his own soul-winning ministry.

• Assessing Your Ministry - led by Stewart Holloway. Dr. Holloway is Pastor of First Baptist Church Pineville & Lecompte.
